Win 2 Tickets To Jack Johnson In Santa Barbara
Isn’t it time to make environmental activism fun? We think so and are thrilled to be teaming up with Jack Johnson on his 2013 From Here To Now To You Tour and All At Once. All At Once is a social action network that connects nonprofits with people who want to become active in their local and world community. All At Once also promotes sustainable local food systems and plastic free initiatives which is a perfect fit for Explore Ecology’s environmental education programs.
Here are some ways that you can get involved with Explore Ecology and All At Once:
1.) Participate in our Pre-Concert Events: Coastal Cleanup Day is an international volunteering event. Join us at Arroyo Burro Beach on Saturday, September 21 at 9:00am-Noon. Bring your own buckets, bags and gloves. We guarantee that you’ll feel great when you collect litter that otherwise would end up as marine debris. As an added bonus you can enter for your chance to win 2 free tickets to the Jack Johnson Concert at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara on October 20. On Sunday, September 29 from 11:00am-2:00pm come to the Wonders of Water Kids Creek Week Celebration at the Watershed Resource Center Enjoy snacks, create an art project, watch watershed model demonstrations and videos, make kelp beads, giant bubbles and a lot more. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
2) Help us raise funds. Jack Johnson’s charity is matching donations contributed to us at the show or directly to our organization through November 1st (Up to a total of $2500). Make a contribution right now and your money will be doubled by the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation. Help us reach our goal of raising $2,500 before November 1st by donating here.
3) Visit us at the show! We will be at Jack Johnson’s concert in Santa Barbara at the beautiful Arlington Theater on October 20th. Please visit our environmental educators at the Explore Ecology table, take environmental action and enter to win an ukulele signed by Jack Johnson!

Stephanie began her journey as an educator over twenty years ago working as a preschool teacher in Washington state for a cooperative preschool program affiliated with Whatcom Community College. She loved observing the wonder and curiosity of the children and bringing them out into nature to explore the natural world. She continued her love for learning and got her teaching license and then her Montessori certification and worked as an elementary teacher in Tribal, Public, and Montessori schools. She collaborated to create a school garden and her students loved it so much that it became a special place where they could garden, read, explore, play, and it provided a safe sanctuary for students to calm down and reset when they were having difficult moments.
