Volunteer for Explore Ecology In Santa Barbara
Explore Ecology and our Art From Scrap and Watershed Resource Center programs are looking for volunteers who love art and the environment. If you want to make a positive difference, you will love our upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Contact Jill@ExploreEcology.org to sign up for any of the following.
Our Annual Assemblage Event is a giant party and fundraiser. The evening’s festivities include a Silent Art Auction, music with DJ Darla Bea of KCSB FM, a mischievous photo op with Bob Debris, food, festivities and fun! We are looking for volunteers to help us with the following: Decorating, Food & Food Service, Wine Pouring (must be 21 or older), Auction Monitors (to keep an eye on our Silent Auctions), ReUse Store (to help people in our Reuse Store), Clean-up and Check-In & Ticket Sales.
Decorating would take place on the day of the event, April 5th and the day before, Friday. April 4th from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. You could do all of part of the day. On the day of the event we need volunteers from 3:30 pm to 10:00 pm. We need people to work the whole event or shifts from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Volunteer at the Art From Scrap/Explore Ecology booth at Earth Day, on April 26th and 27th. We need help with set up and take down, stocking art supplies and helping kids who visit our tables make their own art projects and learn about the environment. This is a super fun and social volunteer opportunity.
If you like art, ecology, engaging with the public, being outside and creating cool things out of reuse materials, this is the perfect volunteer job for you. The shifts are 10:30 am – 2:30 and 2:30-6:30 pm both days.
