The Morning After Art Reception
After One Night Stand comes The Morning After Art Sale and Reception on Friday, August 30th, 6-8pm.
Our One Night Stand fundraiser was so much fun. Wonderful people, delicious food and exceptional art. But sometimes in a crowd that big, great art can get overlooked. And although two- thirds of our art was sold, people missed some deals on good work by well-known artists. So, we decided to offer art lovers and collectors a second chance to take a look at some of the art from One Night Stand. Until Saturday, August 31 at 3pm, you can stop by the AFS Gallery to check out The Morning After art exhibition and sale to see the art that’s still available. All of the art is $200.00. The artist’s name is revealed after it’s purchased.
To add to the fun, join us for The Morning After Art Reception on Friday, August 30 at 6:00-8:00 pm at the AFS Gallery at 302 East Cota Street in downtown Santa Barbara. Refreshments will be served.
AFS Gallery Hours: Tues. Wed. Fri. 10-2, Thurs. 10-6, and Sat. 10-3.

Stephanie began her journey as an educator over twenty years ago working as a preschool teacher in Washington state for a cooperative preschool program affiliated with Whatcom Community College. She loved observing the wonder and curiosity of the children and bringing them out into nature to explore the natural world. She continued her love for learning and got her teaching license and then her Montessori certification and worked as an elementary teacher in Tribal, Public, and Montessori schools. She collaborated to create a school garden and her students loved it so much that it became a special place where they could garden, read, explore, play, and it provided a safe sanctuary for students to calm down and reset when they were having difficult moments.

Morgan’s mermaid soul is always seeking adventure—swimming a relay across the Santa Barbara Channel and taking the first photo of a newborn orca off Anacapa Island being standout experiences close to home.
