Savor the spring harvest at Sustainable Table, Explore Ecology’s premier fundraising event. Join us on Saturday, May 25th for a farm to table culinary adventure at Tres Vientos Ranch, the beautiful home of Alan and Lisa Parsons. Sustainable Table’s innovative, zero waste menu, created by Chef Clark Staub of Full of Life Foods, will highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local organic farms.

The evening begins with a Farm to Bar Cocktail Hour with Santa Barbara’s favorite bartender Jonny Andrade, owner of POUR SB. Guests will take in the dramatic views of the breathtaking coast and enjoy appetizers provided by Chef Nancy Weiss. Nancy’s secret ingredient? Produce grown by our littlest green thumbs in Explore Ecology School Gardens. Costa Rican singer songwriter MishCatt will perform during the Cocktail Hour.

Guests may choose to attend our special Parsonics Studio Tour and Demo with Alan Parsons and singer songwriter Glen Phillips (limited to 20 participants.) This will be an amazing and intimate experience with one of rock’s most talented and prolific musicians, engineers, and producers. Click Here for more information.

As the sun sets, guests will enjoy a family style farm to table dinner, where they will learn about the farmers, winemakers, and chefs who have nurtured each ingredient. After dinner, Glen Phillips will entertain guests with a musical performance under the stars.

Parsonics Studio Demo and Experience

Join us for a Cocktail Hour, Studio Tour, and Demo at Parsonics Studio with Alan Parsons and Glen Phillips on May 25th. Founder of the Alan Parsons Project, Alan is a musician, songwriter, record producer, and sound engineer whose work spans decades. Alan engineered and produced many iconic albums including Abbey Road and Dark Side of the Moon.

Glen Phillips is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Known for his work in Toad the Wet Sprocket, Glen is also an acclaimed solo performer. ⁣Get an inside look at music recording and audio engineering, a special wine tasting with Sanguis Winery, and appetizers created by Chef Clark Staub. Afterwards, you will join the party for our delicious Sustainable Table Fundraiser Dinner.⁣

Join us for an amazing and intimate experience with Alan Parsons, one of rock’s most talented and prolific musicians, engineers, and producers. This portion of the evening is limited to 20 guests.

Chefs

 

Chef Clark Staub

Clark Staub is the executive chef and owner of Full of Life Flatbread restaurant in Los Alamos. Since 2004, Chef Staub has been creating healthy and delicious food in his gorgeous wood fired stone and clay oven. Renowned for his restaurant and for sourcing his ingredients from farms within a 60-mile radius, Chef Staub will provide a masterful dinner for Sustainable Table guests.

 

 

 

Chef Nancy Weiss

Nancy Weiss is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. She is the former chef and owner of SOhO Restaurant and Music Club. In 2008, Nancy took over as Director of Food Services for the Santa Barbara School District (SBUSD) where she revolutionized food service for her students to an incredibly high standard. She is the recipient of the 2018 Santa Barbara Independent Local Hero Award, the Spirit of Service Award (from the City of Santa Barbara for commitment to composting and sustainability), The Golden Carrot Award (from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine), the 2017 Congressional Woman of the Year Award, and the Local Food Hero Award.

Shuttle Pick Up and Information

A round trip complimentary shuttle provided by EOS Transportation begins at 5:00 pm at Brandon Elementary School.

We encourage you to arrive at Brandon School no later than 5:45 pm. Please park your car in the School Parking Lot at 195 Brandon Drive Goleta, CA 93117.

Note: No cars are allowed on the Tres Vientos property, including personal vehicles, taxis, drop off’s, and Lyfts/Ubers. Thank you!
