It’s Time To Stop Marine Debris In Its Tracks- Flows To The Ocean Family Night
“The best part about nature is that it never runs out of batteries!”- 5th Grade Student on Santa Cruz Island
We love the comments that we hear from the students enrolled in our Marine Debris Prevention Program, Flows To The Ocean (FTO). Our field trip to Santa Cruz Island is a highlight of the program and for many students, it’s the first time that they’ve been on a boat. Every year, we celebrate this incredible environmental education program at the Flows to the Ocean Family Night.
Join us on Wednesday, May 14 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Watershed Resource Center at Arroyo Burro Beach, 2981 Cliff Drive. Twenty six 4th-6th grade classes and two high school classes will showcase projects that focus on solutions to the marine debris problem plaguing our oceans. Healthy snacks, pizza and ice cream will be served. This is a free event and is open to the public.
