Get Ready For Summer Solstice With Art From Scrap
Art From Scrap is getting ready for Summer by offering the Santa Barbara Community three creative and resourceful ways to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
Art From Scrap’s Art Director Mary Price will be working with groups of children and community members for the first ever Art From Scrap float! Contact Mary if you are interested in creating Prehistoric Creatures out of plastic for the float.
In addition, all of our Saturday Art From Scrap workshops before the parade are Solstice-themed: May 25- Wings, Beaks, and Tails with Mary Stanley, June 1st- Costumes with Angela Lang, June 8- Dinosaur Flags with Brad Nack, and June 15th- Solstice Magic with Judy Nilsen. All workshops cost $8.00 per person and take place at Art From Scrap from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
