Congratulations, Winners- WATER Art Exhibition at Art From Scrap Gallery

The judges have announced the first, second and third place winners of WATER, our first annual high school environmentally-themed art exhibition. Guest judges Nathan Vonk of the Santa Barbara Arts Blog and Arts Collaborative, Kerry Methner, Editor of CASA Magazine and Laura Denny, Artist and Art Teacher met at the Art From Scrap Gallery to look at the more than sixty works of art in WATER and to make a decision.

After much deliberation and discussion, Nathan, Laura and Kerry awarded First Prize to Ally Ryan of Dos Pueblos High for Runoff.

Don’t miss WATER at the Art From Scrap Gallery. The art is amazing, timely and moving. Artists were asked to create art that corresponded with the theme of water- how it’s used and our current drought. Stop by to see water-themed art by students and their instructors from Youth Interactive, Santa Barbara, San Marcos and Dos Pueblos High Schools on view through November 25, 2014. Gallery Hours: Tuesday-Friday 11-5 and Saturday 10-4.
