As the year comes to an end we re-visit our most popular blog posts of 2013.

.) Transforming Marine Debris Into Art In Plastic Planet:  Plastic Planet was an environmentally-themed art exhibition that featured the work of artists Holly Mackay, Richard Lang and Judith Selby Lang.  Mackay and the Selby Langs collect plastic marine debris off the beach and use it in their art.

.) Yoko Ono and Jeff Bridges Donate Art To One Night Stand: We were thrilled when artist and musician Yoko Ono and actor and artist Jeff Bridges donated art to our One Night Stand (ONS) fundraiser for Art From Scrap.  Jeff and Yoko, along with over 200 other artists made the 2013 ONS event memorable, exciting and successful.

.) MULCH- Art Inspired By Spring: MULCH was a multimedia art exhibition featuring painting, ceramics, woodworking, horticulture, printmaking and assemblage. Inspired by early spring, the scent of newly turned soil, the decay of organic and man-made materials, new growth and rebirth, MULCH featured the art of Scott Chatenever, Jaime Coxon, Francis Dawson, Barbara McIntyre, Judy Nilsen, Mary Price, Ron Robertson, Pali X Mano, and Pamela Zwehl-Burke.

.) Students Save The Ocean From Marine Debris: How can we make a difference? How can we help animals in the ocean? Is there a solution to plastic marine debris pollution? Those are some of the questions the young environmentalists in Explore Ecology‘s Flows To The Ocean (FTO) program asked themselves at the beginning of the school year.  Flows To The Ocean is a yearlong Explore Ecology program that educates students about how litter makes its way to the ocean.

.) One Night Stand Fundraiser- A Success! This post was a recap of our successful One Night Stand event. One Night Stand was a huge success thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors, donors, volunteers, artists and guests. Over 350 people filled Gallery 27 for this one night only art event. A lot of art was sold, new friends made and food and beverages enjoyed.
