Art From Scrap Is Reopening!
Art From Scrap, Santa Barbara’s favorite creative reuse store, is re-opening just in time for Earth Day.
The Creative Reuse Store located at 302 East Cota Street in downtown Santa Barbara will re-open on Wednesday, April 21st at 11:00 am. The new Store Hours are Wednesday through Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Donations will be accepted on Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Tara Patrick, Creative Reuse Director says, “Hello, Art From Scrappers! We are happily announcing that your favorite creative reuse store will be reopening! Our first day open will be April 21st from 11:00 to 4:00. We are expecting to be busy, so please bring your patience, good-nature, and happy hearts to the reopening! You can stay up-to-the-minute with Art From Scrapnews by following us on Instagram and Facebook- @artfromscrap.”
In order for the creative reuse store to re-open safely, some necessary changes were made to protect customer and employee health. A large ventilation and air filtration system was installed as well as a plexiglass screen for the counter. The number of people in the store will be monitored with a total of six individual customers allowed in at a time.
Art From Scrap‘s creative reuse materials will still be available in their online store and on their EBay Store. The online store can be found at: https://Shop.
Founded in 1990 as a volunteer effort by a group of parents who wanted to increase the availability of art supplies in the schools, Art From Scrap has encouraged reuse as a way to protect the environment and has educated generations of children and adults about the importance of waste reduction and creative reuse.
Art From Scrap appreciates everyone who has kept our innovative and creative program thriving during the past year.
